Man Sets Afire 2 Puppies

The injured puppy died at Blue Cross of Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a horrifying incident, Ramakrishna, watchman of an apartment at Bowenpally burnt alive two stray puppies.

A resident who witnessed the incident said that the watchman has set fire to the bushes despite knowing that the two puppies with their mother were sleeping in the open plot at Satya Sai Enclave on Dairy Farm Road. The incident took place on Monday and the puppies were about one-and-half months old.

Police have booked a case under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. 1960 and provisions of the IPC after animal welfare organization, People for Animals lodged a complaint

The police said that one of the puppies died on the spot and the other suffered 40 percent injuries while the mother managed to escape. The injured puppy died after a two-day battle on Wednesday at Blue Cross of Hyderabad, at Jubilee Hills.

Police have booked a case under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. 1960 and provisions of the IPC after animal welfare organization, People for Animals lodged a complaint.

It may be recalled that earlier too the City witnessed violence acts against animals. As in July last year, three puppies were burnt to death at a graveyard in Musheerabad by eight minors.
