Heavy rains lashing the East Godavari region made it impossible for YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's popular mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra to progress on Tuesday. A statement released by the YSR Congress Party said that the public meeting which was to take place in Draksharamam this evening will be postponed by a day. YS Jagan will interact with the masses at Draksharamam tomorrow.

Praja Sankalpa Yatra entered day 204 this morning. The historic walkathon of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been receiving an unprecedented response ever since it began. The AP Leader Of Opposition is on a mission to get an insight into the problems of the masses on a first-hand basis, in order to ease their woes by including them in his party's manifesto-YSRCP Navarathnalu.

Over the last 200 days of his padayatra, people from every nook and corner of the state have been thronging the padayatra venue to pour out their woes to the people's leader who has been lending a patient ear to them.

YS Jagan has been highlighting their problems in his diary and also demanding immediate redressal of their grievances by the state government. He also demanded that the ruling TDP help the backward communities which have been neglected under the Chandrababu government.

Betrayal of promises by the TDP including failure to waive loans of farmers and DWCRA women’s groups, jobless youth, dilution of Arogyasri, Fee reimbursement not reaching the beneficiaries, corrupt Janmabhoomi committee, seniors being deprived pension and lack of safe drinking water are a few of the many issues that have been highlighted by the YSRCP chief during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

YS Jagan padayatra began on November 6 in Idupulapaya and will conclude in Ichchapuram, Srikakulam district. Currently, the Praja Sankalpa Yatra is progressing in East Godavari district.
