New Delhi: In yet another proof of the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) continuing friendship with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, developments in today's No Trust Vote debate reflected the truth.

Speaking on behalf of Kesineni Nani, TDP MP Jaydev Galla alleged that the Centre announced a war on TDP immediately after it pulled out of the NDA. In his speech, the MP condemned the Centre's failure in allotting funds to Andhra Pradesh. However, he chose to remain silent on the reason for TDP's acceptance of the special package.

It may be recalled that when the Centre announced special package to AP instead of SCS, not only did TDP welcome the special package, they also felicitated Union Minister Arun Jaitley for providing the package.

Surprisingly, the TDP MP did not even mention the Congress party and its role in the bifurcation of the state. After four years of romance with the BJP, Chandrababu complained of Centre's lack of support in the Polavaram project work. But, in reality, it was the Central government, which offered to complete the Polavaram project.

The Guntur MP did not mention in his speech, about the letter written by Chandrababu to the then UPA government, in support of the formation of Telangana state.

On the other side, Congress President Rahul Gandhi came in support of the TDP MP. "I could sense an anxiety in Galla's speech," he said.

"Andhra Pradesh is the most ignored state in the 21st century," Rahul added. Back in 2014, the Congress leaders passed the bifurcation bill by merely stating that the possibility of the accordance of the Special Category Status (SCS), setting up of Vizag Railway Zone and the Kadapa Steel plant would be considered, instead of including them in the bill. The same Congress party, today is crying foul on the injustice done to the state, as per a secret pact with the TDP.
