TDP MP TG Venkatesh Needs Psychiatric Help: TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar

Hyderabad: TDP Rajya Sabha MP, TG Venkatesh needs psychiatric help and should be evaluated by doctors at the Kurnool Medical College or Vizag Mental Hospital, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar said here today. He added that the Erragadda mental hospital was also an option. The TRS MLC said that the TDP MP was trying to create discord between people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, through his provocative statements. Prabhakar strongly criticised Venkatesh's statement saying voters of people from Andhra settled in Telangana, would not support the ruling party in Telangana if it did not back the fight of the TDP in AP.

Venkatesh had insulted the people of Telangana at the time of the struggle for a separate of Telangana, he added. The Rajya Sabha MP was ignorant of the history of Telangana and was not aware of the sterling contribution of their leader K. Kesava Rao, he reminded him. He had no right to make insulting personal remarks about the Telangana stalwart, he observed. Prabhakar said that AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu needs to rein TG Venkatesh about whom they had complained earlier too.

The TRS leadership pursued the state's interests with the Centre through constitutional means and secured what was rightfully theirs, he said and counselled the TDP government to do the same with regard to AP.
