Pakistan prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had to go through a routine security checkup at the John F. Kennedy International airport in New York.
The prime minister visited last week to meet his ailing sister in New York. Shahid's visit to the country went viral after a video showing the prime minister at the security check point was widely circulated on social media. The video shows the Pakistan prime minister walking out of the security check with a coat on one arm while pulling his baggage with other. Shahid Abbasi was slammed by several TV channels for shaming their country by visiting US as a normal person though he has a diplomatic visa.

During his visit to the country, the Pak prime minister also met US vice-president Mike Pence where he discussed visa bans of Pakistanis.
The US government has imposed visa bans on Pakistan people to put a cap on terrorism. The government also announced sanctions on seven Pakistan companies, suspecting their nuclear trade. Following the US government imposing ban on Pakistanis, Shahid Abbasi visit to the country has grabbed headlines.
