one killed, another hurt in road mishap

Vijayawada (Kankipadu Rural): One person was killed and another sustained severe injuries in a road accident on Friday in the city. The accident occurred near Kankipadu and the the duo, who was sleeping on road side, was hit by a speeding car.

The car was speeding towards Gannavaram. The dead has been identified as Bejawada Srinivas, 46, and the injured is identified as Uday Kiran.
The police have arrested driver Anne Srinivasa Rao and the investigation is on.
