Telugu Anchor Gayatri Bhargavi's Facebook Account Hacked
Leading Telugu TV anchor and actress Gayatri Bhargavi's social media account on Facebook has been hacked. The actress lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police on Wednesday.
Gayatri has a personal Facebook account as well as a page under her name. However, it is reported that these two accounts have been taken over by hackers.
The actress took to her instagram to share the news and asked fans to be wary of any messages sent from her account
ACP KVM Prasad, who filed Gayatri's complaint said, "Hackers take control of users' Facebook accounts and post offensive messages to disrupt communal harmony."
This is not the first time a popular public figure's social media account has been hacked. It is known that Facebook accounts of several famous celebrities have been hacked in the past.
Singer Smita's account was similarly hacked. However, it helps to be wary of hackers and to keep accounts safe. Experts advise users to frequently change their passwords and choose privacy settings to prevent misuse of photos posted on their personal profiles.
