Telangana School Timings Changed From Mar 31 To April 6 Due To Heatwave

The maximum temperature in Hyderabad and many other districts is likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius due to heatwave conditions for the next couple of days. The India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad has issued a heatwave warning for Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem, Nizamabad, Jagtial, and Kamareddy.

According to IMD, a heatwave occurs when the maximum temperature crosses 45 degrees Celsius. A gradual increase in maximum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius is likely at isolated pockets over Telangana till April 2.

In the view of heatwave forecast, the educational institutions in Telangana have reduced the timings of the school. The timings of The primary, upper primary, and high schools of government, aided and private are from 8 am to 11.30 am. So, starting from March 31st, the newly changed timings will come into force and it will be up to April 6.

Director of School Education, A Sridevasena said in an order on Wednesday that the mid-day meals would be provided before 11.30 am from March 31 to April 6. she also instructed the officials to pass the orders to all the schools and monitor whether this new rule is being implemented or not.
