Cyber attackers have created a fake Facebook account of Ramagundam Police Commissioner, V Satyanarayana, and sent messages requesting money from Facebook friends. The page admin is said to have asked them to send money ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 through PhonePe or Google Pay. The miscreant is also said to have asked them to share screenshots of their transactions.
Police have identified the Cyber attacker as Mithlesh Navin of Manipuri district, Uttar Pradesh West. The Police started an investigation and traced all the details through the PhonePe number.
Satyanarayana responded to this issue and said it was a fake account and that he did not have a Google pay account. He asked the gullible public not to send money.
He said the case had been handed over to the cybercrime wing, and two special investigation teams had been created. He expressed hope that the accused would be apprehended soon.
