Udhayanidhi Stalin: From Hero To Deputy Chief Minister?

Tamil Nadu actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin forayed into politics. He walked in the footsteps of his father Mk Stalin. Udhayanidhi eventually won as the MLA from Chepauk - Thiruvallikeni Assembly constituency. Subsequently, he became the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister of Tamil Nadu in December 2022 under his father and CM MK Stalin.

According to the latest reports, Udhayanidhi is all set to be promoted as the Deputy Chief Minister. Buzz is that CM MK Stalin will head to a foreign trip in February, making way for Udhayanidhi Stalin to assume the role of his father's deputy. These speculations are rife among the DMK senior leaders and MLAs.

Udhayanidhi played the lead role in Maamannan, besides bankrolling the film on his own production banner. Currently, he is juggling with films and politics. But he is expected to play a more serious role in politics once he is elevated as the Deputy CM.
