Happy Ganesh Chaturthi: Rare Images Of Lord Vinayaka

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated for ten days across the country. The festival begins on Friday, i.e., today (September 10). The 10-day festival is celebrated with much joy and happiness across the country. Ganesh Chaturthi is also called Vinayaka Chavithi or Vinayaka Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to honour the birth of Lord Vinayaka. 

Ganesh Chaturthi usually falls in Shukla Paksha in the month of Sravana and is mostly held either in the month of August or September. In these ten days, one could hear 'Ganpati Bappa Maurya'. On the first day, the idol will be installed and it will be immersed in water on the tenth day. Some people will immerse the idol on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th day.
