Dhanush has earned his place in the film industry. He is one of the biggest bankable stars in Kollywood. He has an unfathomable fan following in different parts of the country. Recently, Dhanush signed a multi-lingual project with top Tollywood director Sekhar Kammula. Yes, he is all set to make his Telugu debut with Sekhar Kammula's yet to be titled film.
The film will be produced by Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao of the accomplished production house Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP (A Unit Of Asian Group). The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Now, we hear that Dhanush has also been roped in for Director Venky Atluri movie. Atluri is known for movies like Tholi Prema, Mr Majnu and Rang De. Sithara Entertainment is said to be bankrolling this project.
Dhanush fans are of the view that the Kollywood actor's Tollywood entry will give top Tollywood heroes a run for their money. We know that Dhanush is immensely talented and the fact that Telugu filmmakers are showing keen interest in signing him in their project goes on to show that they are looking for a new face. If more projects go his way, then Dhanush is likely to give stiff competition to mana beloved actors like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, and Ram Charan.
However, we don't think so. We all know that every actor brings his own to the table and the fan following too is dirverse. Whule Dhanush may be weelcomed by the industry and Tollywood makers with open arms, the market his movies will cater to will be very different. Also, one must not forget the fact that mana Telugu heroes have climbed one step at a time to reach where they are, thanks to their hard work and acting chops. Their massive fan following stands testimonial for their work in the industry. So, there no way to say that Dhanush could dominate our stars.
Dhanush was most recently seen in Jagame Thandhiram which had a digital release because of the pandemic. The film received lukewarm response from the critics and public alike. The film was directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
