Hyderabad Pharma City Completes 1st Batch of Skill Development Program

As part of the Hyderabad Pharma City, Government of Telangana had launched a skilling program with the objective to train youth in and around villages to facilitate employment on 9th of August 2021. The first batch of programme consisting of 125 students was successfully concluded today

The students were trained on ‘Lab Technician Cum Assistant’ and ‘Production / Manufacturing Operator Cum Assistant’ two programs which are in presently in high demand in the industry. The course duration was 45 days in which theory, lab practical’s, industry expert session, industry visit amongst others. Apart from pharma role inputs the students were also provided inputs on personality development, life skills, IT essentials & financial literacy. 

Government has committed to facilitating atleast one job per family, who has contributed land to the Pharma city project and offering training at Government’s cost. The programme was executed by Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) in partnership with the Life Science Sector Skill Development of Government of India. 

The program achieved 100 percent placement and the candidates were recruited by reputed companies such as Aurobindo Pharma, Neuland Laboratories, Honour Lab etc. Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce and IT awarded the letter of placements to the students. Mr. Ranjan at the function congratulated the students and encouraged them to use this as a platform to build their careers to emerge successful. 

The felicitation ceremony was attended by Shri E.V. Narasimha Reddy, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), Shri Shakthi Nagappan, CEO, Hyderabad Pharma City, Shri Shrikant Sinha, CEO, TASK, Shri. Chary, RDO Ibrahimpatnam, Shri. Prabhakar, Project Director, DRDA, Ranga Reddy, among others.

Hyderabad Pharma City (HPC) has been planned as a world class industrial city with thrust on development and production of affordable and quality medicines for the country and the world. The project is proposed to be developed on work, live, learn and play concept by adopting sustainable green concepts with state-of-the-art integrated infrastructure.
