Shame Salaar Trends On Social Media After Controversy Erupts Over Arabic Title For Prabhas Movie With KGF Director

After the announcement of the movie "Salaar" by the Producers of "KGF Chapter 2", mixed opinions are pouring in from Netizens on social media. 

Social activist Prashanth Sambargi who is known for his  pungent and controversial comments, has raised his objections about the title of this movie. "Why  have you kept an Arabian name for an Indian movie? Prashanth Neel and Vijay Kiragandur, could you not find one word in six classical languages including Sanskrit and Kannada?" thus has questioned Prashanth Sambargi with a hashtag "Shame Salaar" on Facebook. 

The film "Salaar" was officially announced on December 2. The Prabhas movie will mark his first collaboration with Prashanth Neel and will be produced at Pan India level with the Telugu rebel star in the lead role and title also is from a different language. 

Netizens are also expressing their displeasure stating why an actor from another industry should be cast in a high voltage movie as this. Some have questioned whether there are no  good actors in Kannada left. People are searching the meaning of Salaar in Google. Usually Muslim boys are named by this name. "Salaar" which translates to the meaning 'Leader". However, there are  some misconceptions prevailing in the minds of people relating to this title. 

This movie will be released in many Indian languages. To sum up in a nutshell, director Prashanth Neel and producer Vijay Kiragandur have drawn the ire of some sections of people regarding the title of this movie and its star cast.

Prabhas will be next in Radheshyam directed by Radha Krishna. The movie starring Pooja Hedge as female lead was shot in the scenic locales of Georgia just before the corona lockdown.

Prabhas has also signed a sci-fi with the makers of Mahanati which will also see Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in a key role. The Telugu Rebel Star will also be seen in a period flick Adipurush in which he will play Lord Ram.
