Ram Gopal Varma took to his Twitter and wrote, "Whether u intended or not am glad u made this statement ,because unless there’s a strong stir , there cannot be a calm especially at a time when there seems to be a war like situation between Bolly(north)wood and Sandal(South) wood". He made a series of tweets and appreciated Sudeep’s stance, he wrote, "Nothing can drive the point better than ur question on ,what if you answer in Kannada to a Hindi tweet from @ajaydevgn .. Kudos to you and I hope everyone realises there’s no north and south and india is 1".

Basavraj Bommai also reacted and said, "What Kiccha Sudeep said was correct. A regional language is the most important as a state is formed on linguistic basis. Everyone should understand and respect what Sudeep has said."

HD Kumaraswamy tweeted, "Actor @KicchaSudeep saying that Hindi is not a National Language is correct. There is nothing to find fault in his statement. Actor @ajaydevgn is not only hyper in nature but also shows his ludicrous behaviour."

Siddarmaiah took to his Twitter and wrote, "Hindi was never & will never be our National Language. It is the duty of every Indian to respect linguistic diversity of our Country. Each language has its own rich history for its people to be proud of. I am proud to be a Kannadiga!!"

Sandesh Mysore didn't step back to react. His tweet reads, "Jan Gan Man is in Bengali not in Hindi @ajaydevgn and movies are getting dubbed in Hindi because of the market not considering it as a national language. @KicchaSudeep more power to you sir, thanks for raising the voice. Much needed #HindiIsNotNationalLanguage."

Here is what Divya Spandana wrote on her Twitter, "No- Hindi is not our national language. @ajaydevgn Your ignorance is baffling. And it’s great that films like KGF Pushpa and RRR have done so well in the Hindi belt- art has no language barrier. Please enjoy our films as much as we enjoy yours- #stopHindiImposition."
