Prabhas Salaar Trailer: Raw, Intense and Action Loaded Akin To KGF

The long wait is over. Finally, the trailer of Salaar has been unveiled today. Director Prashanth Neel doled out a raw, intense and gripping trailer. 

It starts with the childhood story of two besties - Deva (Prabhas) and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Deva vows to give himself up for Varadha when he is in need. Varadha is the son of Rajamannar (played by Jagapathi Babu) who is ruling the City of Khansaar. Varadharajamannar seeks Deva's help when his ambition of becoming Don to the Khansaar city is in danger. Deva steps in to fight against Varadha's enemies - Naraang, Gurung. How Deva fights all these mighty dons for his friendship forms the crux of the story.

Salaar has striking similarities with the KGF. The tone and mood of the film has a lot of resemblances. The film's cast includes Ramachandra Raju, Easwari Rao and Bobby Simha in a noted antagonist role. Ravi Barsur's BGM sounds quite familiar. Action stunts also has nostalgia. Shruti is seen in a blink-and-miss shot (Aadhya) in the trailer. On the whole, the trailer has its moments. It is a tailor-made role for Prabhas. It is going to be feast for Rebel Star's fans.

Salaar: Ceasefire (part 1) is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 22nd December. Let's wait and see, what is in store for Salaar.
