Intro:

The latest Bollywood film "Fighter," helmed by Siddharth Anand, has hit the silver screens. The film features the stellar trio of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. Now, let's delve into the film and here is our review.

Plot:

Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty (played by Hrithik Roshan), fulfills his lifelong dream of joining the Indian Air Force. During a militant attack in Kashmir, India forms the Air Dragons, a group of its best fighter pilots. The movie shows their bravery in protecting the country, building friendships, and working together as a team. It also follows the story of a skilled fighter pilot trying to make up for mistakes from his past.

Analysis:

The film hits the screens on the eve of India's Republic Day, director Siddharth Anand's Fighter banks on patriotism with Vande Mataram and Jai Hind playing in the background. The film is loaded with action scenes. Director Siddharth Anand is known for larger-than-life films. His last film was Pathaan with SRK. Unarguably, Fighter is better than Pathaan. The action scenes are executed with finesse. Hrithik and Deepika are in top form.

The film centres on the Pulwama attack and the events preceding and following it. In terms of plot, "Fighter" soars with filmmakers' fresh embrace of patriotic fervour in a genuine potboiler. The action sequences stand out as the true highlight of the film. The film has striking similarities with Tom Cruise's "Top Gun". The audacious manoeuvres of Sukhoi planes establish the tone, introducing the formidable Air Dragons.

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone deliver stellar performances and they do justice to their roles, especially in uniform. Anil Kapoor's portrayal of a commander and patriot is solid. His interactions with Hrithik and the team shine as a significant highlight.

The first half strikes a balance between emotion and action, though the second half experiences a dip before recovering for an engaging climax.

The encounters between the Indian Air Force and Pakistani defence are well-conceived and well picturised thus they amplify the film's thrill, compensating for its lack of narrative innovation. "Fighter" may not break new ground in terms of plot, but its gripping action sequences cater to enthusiasts of the genre, leaving a lasting impression.
