Setback For Adinarayana Reddy In HC Over Security

AMARAVATI: In a setback to former minister and BJP leader Adinarayana Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has refused to stay a single judge order over the removal of 1+1 security cover. The high court on Tuesday heard a writ petition filed by Adinarayana Reddy who sought reinstatement of earlier security cover. Earlier, a single judge justified the removal of 1+1 security to the former minister. Now, the HC refused to intervene in the orders of the single judge justifying the removal of security to the BJP leader.

The HC upheld the single judge verdict that there was no need to provide 1+1 security to the minister, when he does not have any threat or danger to his life. The bench struck down the writ appeal filed by Adinarayana Reddy challenging the order of the single judge of the HC. The bench comprising Chief Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari and Justice Kanneganti Lalitha passed the order on Tuesday.
