Case filed against BJP legislator Raja Singh for hurting religious sentiments

A case has been booked against BJP legislator Raja Singh for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through a video posted on social media. In a video posted yesterday, Raja Singh took a jibe at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for holding Iftar feasts. In his video, he said that Iftar parties were hosted by leaders who beg for votes, and added that he would not attend any such parties. He then went ahead to speak about 'green book' that is responsible for the spread of terrorism in the country, and called for a ban on the same.

In lieu of the above comments, a case has been filed at the Falaknuma Police Station under Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
