IED Blast In Imphal Kills 6, Including 5 Cops 

IMPHAL: A powerful IED blast in Manipur's capital Imphal killed six persons, including five police personnel on Tuesday morning. The explosion took place at 9.30 am today at Thangal Bazar area, which is about 150 metres away from the police station.

All of them were later rushed to the hospital.

No militant outfit has yet claimed responsibility behind the attack yet.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh visited the blast site and condemned the act. "This is a heinous and coward act. We condemn it strongly. The perpetrators of the crime will be brought to book," Singh was quoted saying.
