Mahanadu: Nandamuri Family Skips TDP’s Showcase Event

Visakhapatnam: The family of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder NT Rama Rao gave a miss to the party's annual conclave - Mahanadu - currently underway in the city.

Nandamuri family members including TDP polit bureau member N Harikrishna and TDP Hindupur MLA N Balakrishna stayed away from the event. Various stories are doing the rounds as to the reasons for party founder's children being absent. Some at the Mahanadu venue stated that Balakrishna is currently out of the country on a shooting schedule. Party cadre felt that Harikrishna might not have received an invitation for the event. However, on the first day of conclave on Saturday, Harikrishna's name was called out while inviting party leaders on to the stage. But the leader was conspicuous by his absence. Several TDP men at the venue also stated that NTR's grandson and popular actor NTR Jr. also might not have received the invitation for the event.
