TDP 3rd List: CBN's Vennupotu Politics are Back!

22 Mar, 2024 16:15 IST|Sakshi Post

Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has caused dissatisfaction amongst the TDP cadre as he announced the party's candidates for the upcoming elections. The TDP has recently unveiled its third list of candidates, revealing 11 Assembly and 13 Parliamentary candidates.

Chandrababu Naidu's decisions on candidate selection have faced severe backlash. The TDP leadership has been criticized for favoring certain aspirants while neglecting others. Naidu's actions have backstabbed its party members. Naidu has favoured individuals from his Kamma caste, leaving out candidates from poorer and marginalized communities. It seems like personal gain rather than party interests, is influencing Naidu's choices in candidate selection.

  •  Ganta Srinivas Rao wants to contest from Bhimili but he has been ordered to contest from Cheepurupalli
  •  Former TDP president Kala Venkat Rao did not get a ticket
  •  Gunda Lakshmi Devi did not get a ticket to contest from Srikakulam and she alleged that Babu's financial considerations cost her the spot
  •  GVL Narasimha Rao did not get a chance to contest as an MP from Vishakapatnam but Bharat, son of Balakrishna has been announced as a candidate for the Vishakapatnam seat
  •  Fingers are being pointed towards Purandeswari that the TDP is reconsidering the Vishakapatnam seat just for family members
  •  The BJP cadre is expressing dissatisfaction over the allocation of tickets to family members over her party
  •  In Mylavaram, Devineni Uma lost the financial race to Krishna Prasad who donated crores and won a TDP ticket
  •  Babu had promised a Penamaluru ticket to Parthasarathy Yadav but he was granted the Nuziveedu ticket. Bode Prasad has been given a ticket for Penamaluru

Babu has deliberately allocated party tickets to Kamma leaders to contest against leaders from marginalized communities.

  •  In Visakhapatnam, Bharat (Komma) is contesting as an MP candidate against Botsa Jhansi (Kapu).
  •  In Guntur, MP G. Pemmasani (Kamma) is up against Kilaru Rosayya (Kapu).
  •  In the Narasaraopet parliamentary constituency, Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu(Kamma) is competing against Anil Yadav (BC).
  •  In Mangalagiri, Lokesh is facing Kandru Lavanya (Chenetha BC).
  •  In Kuppam, Babu is pitted against Bharat (Vannakula Kshatriya BC).
