'My son didn't commit any mistake'

“My son did not commit any mistake. Awarding punishment for him is unjust,” said Indravati, mother of Rammohan Reddy who was convicted in Alipiri incident.

Speaking to reporters in Tirupati on Thursday, she said that Rammohan had joined the Naxalite movement and worked there for two years. “But, he left Naxalism and joined mainstream about 10 years ago,” explained Indravati.

She explained that her son also worked in The Times of India, Deccan Chronicle and Indian Express before joining Naxalism. “We will move the higher court over the present verdict. My son will finally come out unscathed in the case,” asserted Indravati.
