MLC’s Car Mows Down Tribal Youth 

In a shocking incident, a tribal youth died on the spot after he was hit by the speeding car belonging to the newly elected Telugu Desam Party MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Garikapadu in Krishna district.

The deceased has been identified as Dharawat Devla, who is a resident of Takkallapadu village.

Before the police reached the spot, MLC and his acolytes left in another vehicle. Locals are alleging that the police and the ruling party members are trying to water down the case and ensure that the MLC is kept out of the investigation.

Silpa Chakrapani Reddy has won as an MLC in the recent elections to the local body MLC constituency in East Rayalaseema.
