Man Posing As Coach Rapes National Kabaddi Player
New Delhi: A 16-year-old national level junior Kabbadi player was allegedly raped by an athlete who posed as a coach on July 9.
According to police, the victim, a resident of Delhi went to Chhatrasal Stadium on July 9 where she met an athlete. The 30-year-old athlete introduced himself as a coach and asked her to sit in his car as he wanted to show her the stadium. He then offered her some drink and biscuits and after consuming them she fell unconscious. When she regained her conscious, she found herself in a flat where she was raped repeatedly by the accused.
On the next day, the accused left the girl on street and threatened of dire consequences if she informed anyone. Based on the girl's complaint, the police registered a case and sent the girl to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for treatment. The accused is at large and a search was on to nab him.
