Leave Alone Drugs, Ravi Teja Doesn’t Even Smoke: Mother Rajya Lakshmi

“Leave alone drugs, my son doesn’t even have a habit of smoking a cigarette. He doesn’t encourage smokers even during the shooting in the sets,” she claimed speaking to Sakshi. 

Hyderabad: Amidst the media reports claiming that Tollywood hero Ravi Teja was issued notices from the Telangana Excise and Prohibition in connection with the drugs case, the actor's mother Rajya Lakshmi on Monday spoke to Sakshi to refute the allegations.

"Leave alone drugs, my son doesn't even have a habit of smoking a cigarette. He doesn't encourage smokers even during the shooting in the sets," she claimed. She further maintained that her second son Bharath Raju, who recently died in car crash in the city, too doesn't have the habit of taking drugs.

Following the news report that Ravi Teja's driver Srinivas was also issued notices in the case, Rajya Lakshmi said that her son would not hire such drivers who are addicted to drugs. "There is no truth in the news that our driver Srinivas was served a notices," she said.

Claiming that her son Bharath Raju had transformed by changing his life style at the fag end of his life, mother Lakshmi said that Bhrarat had been preparing well after being selected for Telugu reality show Big Boss.

Meanwhile, close friend of Ravi Teja and family doctor Kadiala Rajender too maintained that hero Ravi Teja was never involved in substance abuse.

The family is quite disturbed after knowing about the news about the drug scandal, he said. Ravi Teja could not come before media as he is busy shooting outdoor, Dr Rajender clarified. He exuded confidence that Ravi Teja would come clean during the investigation.

Speaking on Bharath Raju, doctor Rajender said that there were no traces of alcohol in the Bharath Raju’s body. He had quit drugs and alcohol after he was caught in the drugs case, he said.
