Hyderabad: Emulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to launch his own version of 'Mann Ki Baat' to interact with the people.

KCR would address people of Telangana from the Chief Minister's official residence — Pragathi Bhavan once in every fortnight. A separate studio is also being planned in the Bhavan for the purpose.

Besides attempting to know problems at grass-root levels, KCR would share his feelings to people on the welfare schemes initiated by his government.

The Telangana CM would interact with various sections of people through video-conference. As part of this, KCR directed the officials to install large LED screens at all district headquarters and towns in the state.

However, unlike Modi, who only shares his thoughts on various aspects affecting the nation and society, KCR will also hear the thoughts and grievances of people during his live session on television.

KCR is learnt to have come to a conclusion after considering suggestions from the TRS leaders to launch e-campaign. Similar campaigning had yielded good results for the TRS party in GHMC elections in the past.

Without restricting himself to campaigning or publicizing the welfare schemes, KCR would directly interact with various sections of people — craftsmen, Anganwadi workers, farmers and various community groups.

As part of his Mann Ki Baat campaign, the party would telecast short films and documentaries on the welfare schemes like Mission Bhagirata, Asara Pensions and double bedroom housing project for the poor.
