'KCR preferred upper castes for his cabinet'

Senior Congress leader and former minister Jeevan Reddy blasted Telangana chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on the constitution of his ministerial cabinet.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday, he commented that there was no social justice in KCR cabinet.

He said that KCR had preferred only upper castes leaders as the ministers in his cabinet.

“KCR once said that he would make a Dalit as the first chief minister of Telangana.But, he took up the top post and gave only the post of deputy chief minister to a Dalit leader,” said Jeevan.

He said that Golden Telangana was possible only with Socially balanced Telangana.

“KCR government must provide financial support to the families of those persons who had laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana,” said the leader.

“AICC president Sonia Gandhi gave Telangana after facing several hurdles. KCR, after taking oath as the chief minister, should have thanked Sonia Gandhi for granting the new state,” said Jeevan.
