It’s Like Godavaris’ Baahubali
It is obvious that caste and regionalism play its part in every field. So in the cinema, especially in the Tollywood industry. Most of the prime characters in Rajamouli's Bahubali have roots with the Godavari region, from where the ace director hails. Almost all the members of the film crew, have origins in coastal Andhra region.
While star hero Prabhas has links with Bhimavaram town in West Godavari district, Rana Daggubati's forefathers are from Tanuku in the same district. Ace director Rajamouli's upbringing was in Kovvur, Eluru, Tanuku areas in East and West Godavari districts.
Music composer and playback singer Keeravani, who is a cousin of Rajamouli, is also from Kovvur.
When it comes to the graphic designers and production crew, half a dozen graphic experts are from the Godavari region. Cinema artiste Subbaraju, who appeared in the Bahubali second part, is also from Bhimavaram.
