Hyderabad: govt employee caught accepting bribe

One of the assistant section officers in the health sector, Secretariat was arrested in Hyderabad while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, the police said on Friday.

Sammaya was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in secretariat while accepting bribe from a person on Friday afternoon.

Police said that the ASE demanded money to get a file renewed from higher officials. This was the second time he had demanded money from the victim. Earlier, he had taken Rs. 10,000 from the victim and demanded another Rs. 15,000. The victim approached the ACB and they caught the ASE red-handed today.
