Homeguard’s Suicide in Busy Street Captured by CCTV Camera

Secunderabad: A homeguard of the city police consumed pesticide and committed suicide here on Thursday in the busy Mahankali temple street while the incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.

The deceased, identified as Balaraju, arrived at Mahankali temple and was seen pacing up and down the street. Later, an unidentified woman spoke to him for a few moments and was seen walking away. Balaraju then walked into a nearby shop purchased a cook drink, laced it with pesticide and consumed it in the busy street. As per the CCTV footage he then walked into a nearby tin shed and collapsed.
Balaraju was known for his work towards the welfare of homeguards. He also served as president of Homeguards’ Association.
