Govt. To Spend Rs.30 Crore On Promotion Of Krishna Pushkarams

Hyderabad: For the upcoming Krishna Pushkarams, Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday sanctioned Rs.30 crore under the ‘flexi fund’. The money has been given to endowments department which will use it for marketing and promotion of the 12-day river fete.

Meanwhile, to facilitate smooth process at all the bathing ghats during Pushkarams National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been roped in.

The government decided to deploy NDRF due to the stamped at Godavari Pushkaralu at Rajamahendravaram last year in which 29 were killed.

The money has been given to endowments department which will use it for marketing and promotion of the 12-day river fete.

The NDRF 10th battalion consisting of five teams will be deployed where huge crowd gathering will take place. Each team will consists 45 personnel, including officers and medical staff to take care of pilgrims.

Apart from this, authorities have also set up help-desk. The help-desk numbers are 138,139 and 182 which will function round-the-clock.

The festival which will attract lakhs of devotees will be held from August 12 to 24.
