German Tourist Sexually Assaulted In Tamil Nadu, 2 Detained

Chennai: Two suspects have been detained in connection with a rape assault on a German tourist on Sunday morning. The victim in her complaint said that she was sexually assaulted by three unidentified men in Mahabalipuram. The woman was part of a tourists group who landed here few days ago.

Police said when the victim woke up she saw three men, who dragged her and then sexually assaulted

The police swung into action after the German embassy in Delhi was alerted who in turn contacted the Kanchipuram police station. It was only after this that the police stationed in Mahabalipuram became aware of the incident.

Police said that the woman took a stroll along the coast near the resort where she stayed. After a while she dozed off on the beach. When the victim woke up she saw three men, who dragged her and then sexually assaulted. Later, she managed to escape from their clutches and narrated her ordeal to fellow tourists.

The case is being handled by all women police station, who said that the victim couldn’t tell give details about her attackers. The police are probing the matter.
