MUMBAI: 'The Tashkent Files' actress Shweta Basu Prasad has announced her separation from husband Rohit Mittal after one year of marriage. The actress got married to her then-boyfriend on 13 December 2018.

Shweta took to her social media to announce their separation and added that it is a mutual decision by both of them and it came after months of contemplation. She wrote a long note, and also went on to wish him luck while thanking him for the memories he has given her.

On work front, Shweta was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri's film The Tashkent Files this year. She entered the industry as a child artist in 2002 in the film Makdee. After that, she appeared in TV shows like Kahaani Ghar and Karishma Kaa Karishma. She is also seen in TV show like Chandra Nandini and web series Gangsters.

She was also seen in some bigger Bollywood hits like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. She will next be seen in the film Shukranu with Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor Divyendu Sharma.
