Superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the popular stars on the global map. He made his Telugu debut with Raja Kumarudu way back in 1999. Since then, Mahesh Babu has become undoubtedly Tollywood's favorite. In a career spanning 25 years, Mahesh Babu had many misses and hits at the box office. Mahesh Babu will soon be seen in 'Maharshi' which is scheduled to release next week.

The pre-release event of the movie took place on Wednesday night which witnessed actors Venkatesh and Vijay Deverakonda providing the extra star presence. The event turned out to be a massive affair with a large number of fans gathered to witness their favourite actor. Addressing the event, Mahesh Babu has spoken about his last 24 films while mentioning the directors' names. However, he forgot to mention his break-through movie 'Pokiri' which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. Later, Mahesh Babu took to his Twitter and wrote a few lines about the special film in his career.

He tweeted, "Missed mentioning an important person in my speech today. In my 25 films journey, it was #Pokiri that made me a Superstar. Thank you so much @purijagan !!! Thanks for giving me Pokiri ? A film that will always be remembered.Check out the tweet:

Netizens have picked up on the Pokiri absence in his speech. While some of them are appreciating Mahesh Babu's special tweet which garnered double attention than his speech on stage. On the other hand, others are trolling Mahesh Babu heavily on social media. Take a look at the tweets:

'Maharshi' is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and the music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad which has become a rage amongst the music lovers. 'Maharshi' will hit the big screens on May 9 in worldwide theatres.
