NTR Mahanayakudu Day 2 Collections Beats Biggest Telugu Flop Numbers

Nandamuri Balakrishna latest outing 'NTR Mahanayakudu' released in theatres across the globe on February 22. According to sources, 'NTR Mahanayakudu' didn't satisfy the audience. It has received mixed reviews from critics as it had a few flaws. 'NTR Mahanayakudu' is all about the combination of his political life and his bond with his wife Basavatarakam. The movie opened with low figures on the opening day at the box office. Balakrishna is one of the biggest star in Tollywood. But the response he is getting for 'NTR Mahanayakudu' comes as a shock for trade circles. Last month, the first installment of NTR biopic titled as 'NTR Kathanayakudu' was released during the Sankranthi week and was washed out without a run at the box office. Balakrishna might have kept hopes on second part 'NTR Mahanayakudu' but the movie met the same fate.

Reports suggest that 'NTR Mahanayakudu' has gotten its lowest collections of a big star in recent times. The last movie which earned low figures was Akkineni Nagarjuna's 'Officer'. According to sources, The first day gross from an RTX Cross Roads theatre for 'NTR Mahanayakudu' is Rs 1,60,641, while Ram Gopal Varma’s –'Officer' got collected Rs 3,44,718 from the same area. Balakrishna's 'NTR Mahanayakudu' failed to even surpass disaster movie collections. It is not showing any positive signs for business improvement in 'NTR Mahanayakudu'. The movie has been facing rejection from cine buffs.

'NTR Mahanayakudu' directed by Krish also stars Vidya Balan, Kalyan Ram among others. Actor Rana Daggubati essayed the role of Chandrababu Naidu and garnered immense appreciation from all quarters for his top-notch performance.
