Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR: Mahanayakudu, the second instalment of the NTR biopic is gearing up for release. The makers of the movie have released trailer and teaser. Sadly, NTR: Mahanayakudu trailer has received mixed reviews from all quarters. The latest buzz is that there is no buzz around the movie release. Incidentally, it could be because of NTR: Kathanayakudu which was released during Pongal this year, failed to set the cash registers ringing at the ticket counters.

The film also features Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati among others. Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of son-in-law, the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to reach a wider section of audiences through promotions. Rumor has it that NTR: Mahanayakudu is carrying bad word of mouth due to Krish-Kangana spat over Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Actually, Balakrishna’s idea had initially planned to released NTR biopic as one film. However, director Krish asked Balakrishna to make it into two parts. Balakrishna and makers are unhappy with Krish’s decision and they are not on good terms, it is learned.

Trade pundits predict that NTR: Mahanayakudu might register approximately Rs five crores on its first day at the box office. NTR: Mahanayakudu could create magic at the box office only if the movie receives positive word of mouth from movie buffs.
