Superstar Mahesh Babu's forthcoming flick Maharshi has been a much talked movie in recent times. Mahesh Babu is all set to be seen in a much leaner look. Mahesh Babu is leaving no stone unturned to get under the skin of the character in the movie. Last year, on Mahesh Babu's birthday, they have unveiled the teaser from the movie which has received a positive response from all quarters.

During Christmas time, Mahesh Babu has wrapped up his shoot of Maharshi. Currently, the movie is in post-production stage. The grapevine suggests that Maharshi release date has been pushed further. Earlier, it was planned to be released on April-5 to cash in on the summer holidays. According to sources, Maharshi new release date of the movie is reported to be on April-9. However, there hasn't been any official confirmation about the same.

On the other hand, rumour has it, Mahesh and Maharshi filmmakers are looking forward to release a teaser or new poster of Mahesh Babu on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, although, an official confirmation about the same is yet to be made by the filmmakers. Maharshi is being directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play a love interest of Mahesh's in the movie. Apart from lead cast, Allari Naresh will be seen in a prominent role.
