Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal which was released last year after a series of controversies became a smash hit at the box office. Latest we hear is that Vijay's Mersal is all set to be released in China. So far, the makers of the movie haven't announced any official release date of Mersal in China.

The film is likely to release by end of this year. Mersal was directed by Atlee which went on to collect Rs 250 Cr at the box office. The music has been composed by AR Rahman. Mersal features three leading actresses Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithya Menen who have impressed the Telugu audiences. The film is one of the blockbuster hits of 2017. Vijay is seen playing triple role in the film as a doctor, magician and Villager.

If reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, the China theatrical rights of the film has been sold for a fancy price and exact figure of the rights is yet to be known. This is the first Vijay film to be released in China which is rare feat for a tamil flick. We bet, Vijay and his fans will be over the moon about Mersal's China release. Career-wise, Vijay is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming flick Sarkar. It is being directed by AR Murugadoss whose last project was Mahesh Babu's Spyder that failed miserably at the box office. Vijay is likely to play an NRI techie in America.
