Superstar Rajinikanth is revelling in the success of his recent release Kaala. The film didn't do expected business at the box office. Looks like, now the actor's fans have pinned hopes on Rajinikanth's 2.0 which completed the shoot, last year.

Rajini's 2.0 was supposed to release last year around Diwali. But it got postponed for various reasons. Few months back, the makers of 2.0 had planned to release the film in 2018 summer but instead they released Kaala to keep the audiences enthralled.

Latest we hear is that the makers of the movie are planning to release 2.0 next year on the occassion of Pongal. However, an official confirmation about the release date of 2.0 is awaited. Currently, Rajini's 2.0 is underway with work on VFX graphics happening in London's reputed institution. The work is likely to be completed by middle of this year. If this film is scheduled for January release then it would be double treat for the audiences. On the other hand, Rajini's 2.0 will have box office clash with Prabhas' Saaho and Ram Charan's untitled film if these two films release at the same as 2.0 planned.

2.0 is helmed by Shankar and Amy Jackson will be seen playing the leading lady alongside Rajini. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the antangoist for the first time. Akshay is portraying negative shade and received immense appreciation from movie buffs for his first look poster. Audiences can't wait to watch this film. Watch this space for more.
