Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Prasada Rao appeared before the Special CBI court in Hyderabad today in connection with the Vanpic case.
Dharmana had filed an affidavit in court through his counsel stating that he could not appear in person for the last hearing as his mother died on October 5. The court, then posted the case to today.
It may be mentioned here that the Minister is the fifth accused in the fourth chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation on August 14 in the case related to quid-pro-quo deals.Dharmana on September 25 executed a bond for Rs 25,000 and furnished two sureties for an equivalent amount before the court.
