Youngster Attacks Degree Student in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: A youngster attempted to murder a degree student in Vizianagaram on Wednesday. The incident took place in the village of Sivaramarajupeta in Srungavarapu kota Mandal. Going into details, hailing from Akula Seethampeta village of Vepadu Mandal, G Sirisha is pursuing her degree studies.

On Tuesday, she visited Sivaramarajupeta to meet her aunt. Upon coming to know of Sirisha's visit to her aunt's place, a youngster from the same village, Bangaru Pullaya followed Sirisha to Sivaramarajupeta.

On Wednesday morning, he attacked Sirisha at her home by tying her dupatta around her neck and strangling her, which knocked her unconscious. Following this, Pullaya absconded from the spot.

Neighbours found Sirisha lying unconscious and rushed her to the Government Hospital in Srungavarapu kota. After undergoing treatment, Sirisha's condition improved. Police reached the hospital and filed a case of attempt to murder against Pullaya. Further investigation is underway.
