Fire at Mozamjahi Market Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A fire broke out in a godown in the busy Mozzam Jahi Market at Hyderabad on Wednesday afternoon. A furniture godown located in the market burst into flames, which is located next to a petrol pump and other godowns located in the busy market area at Nampally. A fire engine was called in immediately to douse the fire, but that wasn't sufficient and few more fire engines were called to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building.

It is reported that apart from the furniture, two cars have also been gutted in the fire. Heavy flames were seen coming from the building and people were seen rushing out in fear from the buildings nearby, in case the fire spread to other places in the crowded area.Fire tenders are still trying to contain the fire.

Fire Department officials said that a short circuit could have caused the accident, which broke out suddenly in the godown. There has been a major loss of property but no casualties or fatalities were reported.
