Guntur Car Accident Kills Three

Guntur:Three people were killed in a road accident at Tatapudi here. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday.

According to the police, the deceased Immandi Somasekhar, Palivela Subba Rao, Palli Dinesh and Regula Satya Saradhi are friends who went to Arunachalam, Tamil Nadu from Rajahmundry on November 21. On the festival day of Karthika Pournami, they visited the temple and were returning when the accident took place. Sathya Saradhi was driving the car, while Dinesh sat beside him and Subba Rao and Somasekhar were in the backseat.

On Saturday around 5:30 am at Tatapudi bridge, a lorry moving ahead of their car came to a sudden halt, and their car rammed into the lorry causing the accident. Sathya Saradhi (28), car owner Palli Dinesh (31) and Palivela Subba Rao died on the spot while Somasekhar sustained severe injuries.

The police and highway patrolling learned of the accident and reached the spot. They sent the bodies to Chilakalurpet government hospital for postmortem and informed the family members of the deceased. Police have filed a case.

Dinesh Kumar who hails from Kovvuru, West Godavari district secured civil contracts from Rajahamundry paper mill. On October 4th, he brought a car in the name of his wife and got it registered on November 5th.
