Hyderabad Police Act Against Unauthorized Sadar Festivities

Violating laws at Sadar Ustav leaves individuals behind bars

Hyderabad: Alwal inspector M. Mattaiah revealed that police acted against an unauthorized Sadar festivities event organised by Venkatesh Goud, Narsing Yadav, Narayana and four others in the neighborhood. Seven persons, identified as organizers of the event, were booked. Dances to the sound of accompanying musci were also performed at the event at Indira Gandhi crossroads in Alwal on Wednesday night.

The organizers did not seek police permission to conduct the event and had dancers performing in the event. Videos of the dance performances went viral on Friday morning. The inspector added, "The dances were not obscene, but the organizers did not take police permission and also used sound system. A case has been registered against seven persons under Section 188 of IPC, and Sections 21, 76 and 71 (A) of CP Act for the probe."

In Chaitanyapuri, a case was filed for breaching the law as a part of Sadar Ustav here. Thota Mahesh Yadav, local TRS leader, was booked under Section 188 of the IPC for using drone cameras during a rally, without prior permission on Thursday night.

According to Chaitanyapuri police, Yadav has taken permission to organise the rally, but not for the use of a drone camera. A case has been registered against him and the videographer.

In yet another incident at Ibrahimpatnam, a case has been booked against Ilaiah and Pandu, for using sound systems without permission for Sadar Utsav procession at Ramdaspalli. The police have seized the equipment and are investigating the case.
