Bengaluru: In another horrific incident of child abuse a Class II student of a school located in Bommanahalli in Bengaluru Rural taluk was sexually abused in the school washroom by a 19-year-old diploma student studying in a college, which was right next to the school.
The incident which took place on Monday came to light with the girl's parents lodging a police complaint against the school management.
The girl was rescued by the school staff when they heard her cries for help. They caught the student who was identified as Suman from Kurubarahalli in Hoskote taluk and thrashed him before letting him off.
When the girl went home and told her parents about the incident, they immediately lodged a complaint and the boy was arrested.
What was more appalling was the attitude of the school management who did not inform the police about the incident and tried to hush up the case. The children's toilet is visible from the gate and there was no security guard present either. The accused saw her entering the toilet and quietly followed her and touched her private parts. The police have arrested the chairperson Muniraju and principal Muni Narayana for not intimating the local police about the incident along with the accused Suman.
