Nellore: Mungara Kondala Rao (50) died of a massive heart attack in a hotel room in Hyderabad. His wife Sujatha and their two daughters Vishnuvardhini (13) and Divya Sonika, attempted suicide, unable to bear the tragedy. A resident of Ranganayakulapeta in Nellore, Kondala Rao had previously worked as PA to Kovvuru MLA Polamreddy Srinivasula Reddy.

He developed a wide network of contacts and forayed into real estate business.

Kondala Rao was a family man and used to spend a lot of time with them. Due to his business transactions, he used to visit Hyderabad frequently and would usually return after 10 days after completing his work. As always, he went to Hyderabad four days ago and rented a room at Brindavan lodge in Abids. Suddenly, he suffered a heart attack and died in the room itself.

When the lodge staff informed the police, they reached the spot and collected the details. Based on the phone numbers with him, the police informed Kondala Rao's friend Venkateswarlu.

Immediately, Venkateswarlu informed the deceased family, which was naturally shocked to hear that Kondala Rao is no more. Venkateswarlu also informed Kondala Rao's relatives so that they could be with the family in this difficult hour.

Meanwhile, Unable to bear the demise of their beloved one, Sujatha, Vishnuvardhini and Divya Sonika attempted to commit suicide. Their relatives reached the house and found that the doors were locked and broke open the door.

To their shock they found Vishnuvardhini hanging from the ceiling fan. Later, they found the other two who had consumed a pesticide and toilet cleaners, in an unconscious state. They were shifted to a local private hospital and then shifted to Narayana hospital for better treatment.

The locals informed the police who reached the spot and collected the details. The police filed a case and sent the body for postmortem.
