Kalikiri: Patnam Tasleem (19) and Patnam Shikabi are the two sisters who committed suicide together in the limits of Kalikiri police station limits.

According to the police, Alimabi lives with her two daughters Tasleema and Shikabi and a son Mohmmad Rafi. Her husband lives in Kuwait. Tasleem and Shikabi pursue Nursing in the Madanapalli Nursing college and they stay in a BC hostel near to their college. Rafi pursues his Intermediate first year at Urdu college. Both the sisters came home for preparation holidays.

They were preparing for 10 days and Alimabi took her younger daughter to Madanapalli eye hospital and returned. On Monday, Alimabi asked her daughters to come along with her to the hospital. But, both denied to go with her and Alimabi went to hospital alone. When she returned from the hospital, she found that both Tasleema and Shimabi were hanging to a roof. She informed the locals as well as the police. The police shifted the bodies to Kalikiri government hospital and based on the complaint filed by Alimabi, the police started probing the matter.

The police are suspecting whether they committed suicide for love matter or family disputes.

In a similar incident, the deceased K Nagaraju (32) is from Sanampudi, Singaraya Konda. He was married to Veena Kumari nine years ago. They both had two children. Nagaraju works as Mason who lives with his family in Hafizpet, Hyderabad. On September 28, Veenakumari committed suicide over the disputes between the couple.

Depressed Nagaraju took his children to village outskirts in car to commit mass suicide. He purchased a poison on his way. He consumed it and later tried to kill his children. But the children escaped from the car where his father went unconsious. Later the children went to car and fall asleep with their father. They informed the locals when they failed to awake their father. The locals informed their relatives and the police also reached the spot. The body was shifted to Kandukuri area hospital for postmortem.
