Are TRS, Congress joining hands to make MLC elections unanimous?

Telangana's ruling party, TRS and the main opposition Congress have reportedly decided to share the MLC seats in the upcoming Legislative council elections.

Sources say that both the parties are discussing about this. They are aiming to eliminate elections and get the candidates elected unanimously.

Rajya Sabha member from TRS, K.Kesava Rao and Congress Legislative party leader K. Jana Reddy are reportedly discussing about this. In Telangana, notification was released that 12 MLC constituencies have elections from January 1. The two parties have decided to contest from all the constituencies but as also thinking it could be a havoc.
However, sources say that they want to contest from constituencies where they have a majority so that they can be unanimously elected.
Congress stated that this move was initiated by TRS party and TRS says that a Congress leader from Nalgonda initiated this merge.
It is also known that Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao is also in favour of this arrangement as this would eliminate the possiblity of floor crossing.
Congress party is demanding 3 out of 5 seats in Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy district and says it is justified as they have a majority there. On the other hand, TRS is keen on contesting in Nagonda and is willing to let Congress contest from Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy district.

Congress senior leader Jana Reddy said that Nalgonda seat is very important and a debate over this is on between the two parties. If all goes well, Ex MP Komatredddy Rajagopal Reddy will be contesting from Nalgonda on Congress ticket.
