Brahmotsavams of the Lord get underway at Srisailam

The celebrations include Lingodhbhava Kaala Mahanyasapurvaka Rudrabhishekam, Paagalankarana and Kalyanotsavam. On Monday, the chief priests invoked Lord Ganapati and did Yagasala Pravesam, ritual entry into the Yagasala. This was followed by Agni Pratisthapana, Sakala Devata aahvanam and Dhwajarohanam.

On March 8 , Rathotsavam would be held and purnahuti would be held on March 9. AP Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy would offer silk clothes to the deity on March 4.
